I was born and raised in Colorado, and other than a few temporary relocations, when I was in the military, most of my life has been spent here. I've had multiple jobs throughout my life and most recently retired from a telecommunications company. I am a professional Announcer / Music Director and have announced or provided music at various events to include rodeos, ranch rodeos, gymkhanas, ranch sorting and penning and even mule and donkey shows in Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and Wyoming. I have lived here in Cañon City since 2016 with my dog Boo. I absolutely love the community and do what I can, when I can to contribute to my community. I've always had a fascination with radio, and I am extremely honored to be a part of the KRLN/KSTY family.
Lobo Loggins is originally from Lake Sam Rayburn, located in the heart of deep East Texas. He started his career in radio in Beaumont Texas in 1983 as a sales executive. He loves the intimacy of small market radio. Lobo says it's closer to the community, and smaller communities like their local news, weather and events. He moved to Penrose in 2011 with his beautiful wife Sheryl, 2 dogs and a horse. He hosts the Sunny Side Up Show on AM 1400 KRLN and DJs in the evening on StarCountry, 104.5 FM. He obsesses over making advertising work for clients, focusing on ad production and the "message". He's been with Royal Gorge Broadcasting for more than 12 years and looks forward to spending the rest of his life working in, living in and serving this community!
I was raised in the mid-west and then transplanted to the mountains via the ocean. I have been involved in country radio for over 25 years as well as sharing my time as a singer-songwriter. I have always had a passion for country music and have been blessed with the opportunity to share the stage with some great country acts. When I'm not behind the microphone on the radio or on stage, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking in all that life has to offer … fly fishing, automobile racing and almost any sport … which all pair nicely with a glass of wine. But nothing compares to sharing my day with you, the listener!
I'm Megan Stanley, Station Manager at StarCountry and KRLN. I have been with the stations for a while now doing a little bit of everything. I started sales in October, 2021 and have enjoyed getting to meet so many amazing people and business owners. In June of 2023 I took over as Station Manager. When I am not driving all over town to see my amazing customers, or working hard to keep our small-town station running, I enjoy spending my time outdoors fishing and camping during the summer and staying in with good movies and books when it's cold. I was born and raised in Penrose and have found Florence as my forever hometown and am happy to raise my children there.
